You Are Not Alone, Misfit Mermaid
Have you ever felt like you just⌠didnât quite belong?

Your quirks, your vision, your voice, they all have a place here.
If youâve ever felt like the odd one out, just know: your tribe is out there, and your magic is needed.
Maybe youâve been the quiet creative. The dreamer. The one who colors outside the lines, whoâs been told youâre too much or not enough.
Maybe youâve been left out of the group chats, passed over for the roles, or made to feel like your light was too bright for the room.
I see you. I am you. Although I was one of the first freediving mermaids for Ripley’s Aquarium, I once believed the noise was true and I didn’t belong in a world that I loved so much. The magical realm of mermaids and mythical creatures…
Over the years, Iâve learned that sometimes, you have to search far and wide for your true tribe.
You know, the kind of people who donât just accept your magic⌠they celebrate it and push you to shine even brighter than you already do.
And yes, just like high school, the creative world can have cliques. There are spaces where people will try to dim your shine, question your worth, or make you feel like you donât have a seat at the table.
But let me be the one to say it loud and clear:
You ARE good enough. You ARE beautiful. You ARE talented. You DO belong.
â¨And if no one has ever told you that, youâre hearing it now.â¨
Thatâs why I created something special. For the dreamers. The mermaids. The misfits and mystics. The ones who just want to feel seen and celebrated in a world that often overlooks us.

No Bullies Allowed
There used to be a time when it felt like bullies ran the world… And in some ways, they still try.
They show up in casting rooms, classrooms, social media feeds, and even in our own inner dialogue. They say youâre not pretty enough, not talented enough, not worthy of being seen.
And for a long time, you mightâve believed them. You mightâve dimmed your light, stayed quiet, played small just to survive.
But something shifts when you stop letting their voices be louder than your own. When you begin to stand in your full power (not watered down, and full of apologies for being you). You realize that the bullies were never stronger⌠just louder.
The more you choose to show up as your full, radiant, weird, wild, creative self, the more their grip loosens. Thatâs when the healing begins. Thatâs when everything starts to change. And you donât have to do that alone!
At our Healing Creative Retreat, youâll have the space to unpack that pain. Whether itâs from your past or something youâre still carrying today.
Youâll be surrounded by others who know what itâs like to be shut out, overlooked, or underestimated. But here, we lift each other up. Here, youâre safe to be seen, celebrated, and supported in your full glow.
Finding your creative tribe can be hard. Personally, it took me over a decade to find mine, but it was worth the wait!
Confidence for Artists

doesnât come overnight, itâs built through every brave step you take in your craft.
Whether you’re a painter, actor, singer, or underwater mermaid muse, your art is worthy, and so are you.
Building confidence as an artist takes time, and often, a lot of unlearning.
We are our own harshest critics, constantly questioning our worth, our talent, and our progress.
Even when weâre doing incredible work, itâs easy to feel like itâs not enough. Like weâre not enough.
Whether you’re a photographer, actor, mermaid, singer, voiceover artist, or any other kind of creative soul, chances are you’ve had moments where you’ve dimmed your own light. You hold back. You shrink your creativity.
Not because you aren’t good, but because the weight of comparison, rejection, and perfectionism makes it feel like success is always just out of reach.
But the truth is: your light was never meant to be small. Confidence doesnât appear overnight, itâs built moment by moment, in safe spaces, surrounded by people who reflect back the beauty and power youâve forgotten you hold.

đ 5 Mindset Tips for Creatives to Start Shifting Your Light TODAY:

Our Mermaid Retreat is a whimsical, healing escape for creative misfits who crave confidence, community, and coastal vibes.
Whether or not you can join us at the Halloween Mermaid Retreat Shellebration, here are some mindset tools you can start using right now to reconnect to your power and level up your life:
1. Create a âProof of Magicâ Folder
Collect screenshots, messages, photos, and wins (big or small), that remind you of your progress and worth. Open it on the hard days. Youâll remember just how far youâve come.
2. Speak to Yourself Like a Best Friend
Catch your inner critic in the act. Would you talk to a friend that way? Replace harsh thoughts with encouraging ones: âIâm learning. Iâm growing. Iâm doing my best.â
3. Do One Brave Thing a Day
It could be posting your art, saying ânoâ to energy-drainers, or applying to something that scares you (just a little). Confidence is built in motion, not perfection.
4. Unfollow What Doesnât Feed You
Seriously. If scrolling leaves you feeling âless than,â itâs time to curate a feed that inspires and uplifts you. Protect your energy like the precious treasure it is.
5. Write a Letter to Your Future Self
Tell them who youâre becoming. What youâve overcome. What youâre calling in. Keep it somewhere safe. Let it be a roadmap when things feel foggy.
â¨Spots are limited and will sell out, so if youâre ready to be part of something unforgettable, donât wait. Join us this Halloween and rediscover the power of your own light.â¨
